My Set up:
Trucks: Independent 169s / Randal II 180 mm
Bearings: Bones Reds
Risers: None
Wheels:
With Randal's - Kryptonics Classic's 76mm 78a for Carving and Cruising
With Indy's - Abec11 NoSkoolz 65mm for Pools, Parks and Sliding or
Krypto Route 65 Wheel 78a

My second favorite Board of all time (so far) is this awesome little board. Besides being cool looking its' size and construction make it super fun to use as well as easy to transport.

Made for use in the parks and bowls, the ultimate set up is the Independent 169's and a hard set of Abec11 65mm NoSkoolz. The thing carves up the bowls like nothing I have ever seen before and makes bowl riding a fun experience for all levels of riders. Its thin, but strong construction provides a light weight but firm platform with just the right amount of flex for medium to large riders. With the board only being 36" long it is also very easy to Ollie and trick with if you so desire. If you want to learn how to slide, it is the ultimate learning machine. With this particular set up at a park, it feels like you are sliding on butter. Practice the moves on this board and then move your new skills to something a little bigger!

With the Indy trucks on you can't put on any wheels much larger than 65 mm without using risers. A great little set of soft wheels for taking this board around town with are the Route 65 wheels from Kryptonics (78a). The smaller size makes them feel like a harder wheel and can be slid easily yet will travel smoother than the larger harder NoSkoolz over rough terrain.

Putting Randal II 180's on the board raise's the profile and gives a whole new feeling to the Comet. The higher profile allows you to put on a larger wheel (such as Krypto Classics 76mm) and also makes the board turn on a dime. That, combined with its small size, and light weight, makes it my all time favorite board for easy transportation around town. Although beware, this set up is not the most stable platform ever, big hills can make for hairy, but fun situations....

Anyone considering buying a pool/park board should check out Comets line of composite material boards. Wicked action, fine construction and awesome graphics to boot.
