Imagine
yourself riding your dream board - you know, the one
you've been "eyeing up" for the past few months -
trying to justify shelling out a couple hundred bucks (or more)
to put it under your feet...

I
know the feeling all too well: Reading every last
review, watching Ebay like a hawk, searching high and
low for an online store that has it in your
price range - all the while wondering how you're going to scrape
the money together to buy it - OR how you're going to explain
to your significant other why you just spent $300 on
a piece of wood with 4 wheels...
|
Don't
you sometimes wish that you could just pretend
you were a "skate shop" or a "distributor"
and get a board or two for dirt cheap
- without having to buy a whole bunch at once?
|
I
know I have before...
In
fact, a long time ago my friend and I called a *very*
popular longboard company and asked if we could be regional
reps (dealers). They ended up calling us a bunch of dirty names
and telling us to call them back when we had a "storefront"...
Funny
as it was, it was a bit depressing. I realized that I'd basically
have to wait months on end each time before I could afford
to feed my boarding "addiction" with a new board.
It
sucked.
I'm
sure you can relate...
Now
- What if I told you that you could "beat the system"
and get access to to the boards you want for the same price
(or LESS) that a skate shop would pay...
Would
you believe me?
You
might - but you probably don't. And I honestly wouldn't either,
unless I understood how it worked first.
So
let me explain...
"Just
How the Heck Does this Work, Chris?"
As
you already know, the skate industry in general is divided
into the following categories:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Manufacturers: The guys that make the boards
Distributors: The guys that buy a whole crap-load of boards
from the manufacturers and then sell them to stores and consumers
Store Owners/Dealers: The guys that sell boards in a store
or as an independant dealer
Consumers: The poor suckers like you and me that get stuck
having to pay the full retail price...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now,
what gives the "Distributors" and "Dealers"
the ability to buy boards at such low prices is the fact that
they're buying a whole bunch of them at once.
In
other words, they're buying a high volume of boards -
unlike a consumer, that usually only buys one.
("Wow,
thanks for the "top-secret" info, Chris...")
Yeah,
I know, I know - I'm getting to the point - just keep reading...
How
it Works:
What
I've done is put together an online system where you can actually
bypass the middlemen by becoming part of a large, organized
group of consumers that buy in "bulk" collectively
- even though each individual that decides to make a purchase
only needs to buy just one.
In
other words, we act as a "distributor" and deal directly
with the manufacturers - while you get access to longboards
at the same price (or lower) than what a retailer would pay
for them.
This
is possible because we coordinate the process of putting
together large orders for a group of individual
buyers.
|
To
be fair to other retailers, the deals will almost all
be "old stock" and "factory seconds"
with minor esthetic blemishes...
|
And
it's called...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After
you sign up
(free),
you'll
be able to access the "LBD Wholesale" members area,
which will include Time-sensitive wholesale deals (or
even lower) for a variety of longboards (selection process
described below...)
The
real sweet deals will only last for about 48 hours or
so, or ones with a limited amount of boards - perhaps even "factory
seconds". These will be primarily announced to club members
via email.
There
is no obligation for you to purchase
any of the wholesale deals made available whatsoever.
If
you do decide to go for one of the wholesale offers,
you can easily pay for the board + shipping by using
PayPal or any major credit card over a secure,
hack-proof server.
(Cheques
might be accepted, depending on the offer).
Remember
that when I say "wholesale deals", I don't
mean that you need to buy more than one...
We
take care of the "volume" issue by coordinating a
large order that's made up of individual buyers - like you (if
it's your dream board).

it?

ALL
you really need to know is that you'll have the
opportunity to get a variety of longboards for WAY less
than retail price.

Some offers will be available for a few days
>>
Others might only be available for a few hours (literally!)
>>
Others might be limited by available stock
>>
You'll be notified of upcoming offers anywhere from
a week to a day or so in advance - it all depends...
|
That's
how it works - in a nutshell.
"So
How Do You Decide Which Types of Boards to Make Available
to the LBD Wholesale Club?"
Simple.
I
don't decide.
YOU
get to decide.
Every
month or so I'll ask the group what they'd most like to have
made available.
If
it's obvious that I have a bunch of people that want the "XYZ
Cruiser", and a bunch of other people that want the "ABC
Bomber", then all I do is set up a deal with
those companies and make it happen.
They're
happy because I'll place a large-sized order.
You'll
be happy because you'll get access to those boards at an unbelievable
price.
I'll
be happy because I can get more people riding the boards they
want, and also for the reasons I've mentioned below...
And
yes, it's that simple.
In
fact, you'll actually get to tell me what your top
3 choices would be for boards that you'd like purchase
at wholesale cost when you sign
up...
"Does
it Matter Where I Live?"
It
will depend on each available offer.
Some
will be exclusive to North America, but many others will be
international - or even exclusive to other places, such as Australia
and the UK.
The
only thing I can guarantee is that there WILL be an offer that
will fit your preference, your region (and your price range).
So,
you really can't lose - especially considering that it's
FREE.
So
I'd suggest that you sign
up before I start getting greedy and charging
a membership fee :-)
"What's
in This for You, Chris?"
What
- you don't believe that I'd selflessly do all this out
of the goodness of my heart??
Well...
as much as I love my loyal visitors, perhaps you're right ;-)
But,
in all seriousness, this is what's "in it" for me:
I
get to provide riders with boards that they might not be able
to get otherwise. This
is good for the old "karma", and it will create "word
of mouth" traffic to my site, as well as increasing the
size of the LBD Wholesale Club - resulting in bigger discounts
and larger orders all around.
I
get many of the benefits of being a "distributor"
- but without the hassle of buying "inventory"
up-front, sitting on stock or warehousing. The
manufacturers will "drop-ship" all orders processed
from each offer. And yes, I'll get a "cut" of each
sale made to support this operation, as well as keep the site
going and so I can live out my dreams while doing what I love
to do.
I
can do this from anywhere. The
offers are all coordinated and announced online. I don't have
to manage staff, pack boxes or do anything else. I'm just the
facilitator (aka: "dude that makes stuff happen")
That's
it.
I'm
not planning on selling your email address to the "free
iPod" people, and I don't have some evil alterior motive
(ie. world domination, mass recruitment for my latest religious
cult, etc.)
:-)
The
way I see it, though, it's a pretty sweet deal for you. You
don't have to do anything. No organizing, no planning - nothing.
All
you have to do is tell me what you want - and if there's enough
demand for it within the rest of the group, you'll be able to
get your dream board for dirt cheap.
It's
that simple.
So
you should sign
up, right now - while it's fresh in your
mind...
"Its
always good working with you Chris (and therefore with
LBD).
"Your
professionalism, responsiveness and creativity
made everything run smooth, made it stimulating for
us and greatly enhanced the efficacy of the campaign...
"The
whole process went smooth from start to finish. It generated
a lot of buzz online and lots of excitement...
"The
stoke amongst customers of the deal was palpablepeople
were super excited to be part of this as was
shown by how many orders came through right away...
"But
the customers were not just stoked to get a great deal,
but rather to be part of the experience of the growth
and development of longboarding.
"I
think were going to see pay off from this for
a long time to come. Thanks so much..."

"What
Are People Saying - Is this Actually For Real?"
After
our first deal through the Club, I asked the people that bought
a board (in this case, a Loaded Vanguard bamboo deck) to share
their thoughts on both the board and the Club.
Within
hours, my inbox was flooded with cheerful replies.
These
are just a few of them...
"Extremely
Stoked about the LBD Wholesale Club.."
"Chris,
the board just showed up on Monday. Unfortunately, I
was at work with tons of stuff to do, so I didn't get
to ride it for a bit.
"First
off, the board is gorgeous. The bamboo just looks
incredible. I happen to like the look of unfinished
wood, so this board particularly appeals to me. The
graphics are simple, clean, and crisp. It's easy to
tell that Loaded is more concerned about making a
quality product than what will look good sitting on
a shelf...
"It's
a lot lighter than I expected, and a lot flexier. The
amount of spring the board has is amazing. I've never
felt anything like it.
"I
set up this board pretty much the same as Loaded has
the premium complete set up: Randal RII 180's, Abec
11 Gumballs (78a), Abec 7 bearings. I will admit, I
was not pleased with the first ride. However, after
adjusting the trucks, I began to discover what this
board is capable of. I ABSO-F&*ing-LUTELY love
it! This is by far the closest thing I have felt
to the pure carve feel of snowboarding. I own a freebord
and have been testing a T-board for the last month,
and this set up blows both of those away. Put it this
way... Today is the first day since I got it that I
havent been out riding it... and thats because its raining.
;-)
"This
board is definitely worth every penny.
"I'm
extremely stoked about the LBD Wholesale Club.
The only downside I foresee to the club is that its
gonna end up costing me a lot of money.... LOL!
:-D
"I hope to see more killer deals from the club.
Maybe a deal with Original for some trucks or some completes...
Or maybe with Abec for some "blem" wheels.
Or maybe Loaded again for a Bamboo Pintail!
"As
for the board, well, its definitely a factory 2nd board.
Essentially, the glass didn't lay correctly on the bottom
of the board. It's got some bubbles and some bulges
(very tiny) and you can see a few bare glass fibers,
but its pretty much what i was expecting. but its only
on the bottom of the board, and with the amount i'm
riding it, no one is ever gonna see the bottom anyway.
as long as it holds up, I'm 100% satisfied with my purchase.
"I've
mentioned this several times on various forums, but
THANK YOU again Chris for putting this together. I'm
anxious to see what other deals you're working on...

"I
Think We're on to Something..."
"Hey
Chris,
"Here's
the rundown:"
1.
What do you think of your new board?
"Love
it. Fast, supple, and carves in and out of turns like
a champ. It gets a lot of attention due to the funky
shape and sandy colored deck."
2.
What do you think of the LBD Wholesale Club now that
we've had the first "deal"?
"I
think we're onto something. We need more members
to absorb all the stock that will be coming through
here..."
3.
How "bad" were the blemishes on your factory
second deck?
"Not
bad at all. The logo on the top of the deck was clipped
off where it reads "Made in California". The
rest of the logo was fine.
Go
ahead and print this if ya like... Thanks again, Chris!"

"New
Board is Sweet!"
"The
new board is sweet!
"My
mom took me out at like 1:00am to some big hills and
it performed great.
"Also
LBD wholesale was awesome I can't wait for you guys
to sell another longboard. It took a while for my board
to get here but i can understand because there were
so many orders...
"The
epoxy was messed up a little but nothing too bad."

"Fantastic
Deal..."
"The
board came yesterday. I rigged it up with Original S8
and 77mm 81a Strikers. Had it out for a brief sidewalk
surf today (I live in Brooklyn).
"I'll spend some time with it on the fine hills
Prospect Park.
"This
was a fantastic deal. The blemishes are no
problem at all.
"Cheers
(and thanks)"

"A
Great Way to Obtain Expensive Boards at Really Good
Prices... "
"The
Vanguard is a great deck - tons of energy and a great
carver.
"The
LBD wholesale club is a great idea and
is a great way to obtain expensive longboard decks and
equipment at really good prices.
"The
blemishes on my Vanguard are nearly non-existent. I
guess I got the "rippled graphics" thing.
This was nothing more than some epoxy that had pooled
in a couple of spots. Not even noticeable unless you're
looking for it..."

"I
Recieved a High End Deck for Half Price, Which Later
Turned Out to be Free.
Nuff Said... "
"Chris,
"First off, feel free to post this message where
you like. I'm so stoked how easy this worked out! And
to open my email today and find out NOT ONLY did I get
my sick Vanguard for half price, but I won the refund!
"So seriously, less than two weeks ago I heard
about Longboard Wholesale Club, signed up that night,
placed the order with you guys in the next day or two,
4 days later the board arrives at my door, and a few
days later I find out I don't even have to pay for it!
It's so good I feel like cackling maniacally... but
instead I'll answer your questions:"
1. What do I think of the
new board?
"Fan-freakin-tastic!
I went out the day I got it, bought some Randall 180's
and threw on some old bearings and Kryptonic wheels...
even with dirty bearings and wheels, I was amazed at
the smoothness from the deck. I got a lvl2 flexibility,
and feel like the thing is gonna be great for some serious
deep carves, flexible enough for me to push into it
and stiff enough to spring me out around my turn."
2. What do I think of the
LBD Wholesale Club?
"Couldn't
be better. I recieved a high end deck for half price,
which later turned out to be free. Nuff said.
"Other
than that I will be yellin at my friends to sign up
and waiting eagerly to see what our next deal is..."
3.
How bad were the blemishes on the factory deck?
"Insignificant.
Lookin at it in my hands right now, the most noticeable
imperfection is two ripples in part of the decal and
maybe a minor ding on some of the filling. VERY minor!
Board rides straight, smells like new and makes
me giddy to go out and ride. Again. Right now. Peace"

"The
Club is Awesome..."
"I
love my new board, the flex is awesome the return on
hard carves is tight and controlled and the graphics
rock.
"The blemishes aren't even bad for the price we
paid and the boards still ride as sick as ever, and
i think the club is awesome and can't wait
for the next installments...
"I
hope this answers all your questions, cuz i am going
to china tomorrow and skating up a storm. thanks so
much for the opportunity and i look forward to more
in the future...
